Agile Greece Summit 2018 - Organizational refactoring - A key moment in the Agile transformation

Organizational refactoring is the process of changing the structure and processes of an organization to make it more agile. This can be a challenging process, but it can also be very rewarding.

The benefits of organizational refactoring include:

  • Increased agility: Agile organizations are able to respond more quickly to changes in the market and the needs of their customers.

  • Improved quality: Agile teams are able to produce higher quality work because they are more focused on delivering value to customers.

  • Increased employee engagement: Agile employees are more engaged and motivated because they have more autonomy and responsibility.

The challenges of organizational refactoring include:

  • Resistance to change: Many people are resistant to change, and this can make it difficult to implement organizational refactoring.

  • Lack of experience: Many organizations do not have experience with agile practices, which can make it difficult to implement them successfully.

  • Lack of resources: Organizational refactoring can be a costly process, and many organizations do not have the resources to invest in it.
